The Cost of Travelling in Norway

I personally found price ranges and estimates for all sorts of vehicles, so that you could have a complete understanding of how much your trip is going to cost. Moving by car

What about the fuel costs? Thanks to the “Energipris per 100 km” of the Norwegian Public Road Administration, vegvesen.no, the price difference between diesel, petrol and electricity used to charge an electric car when you are going to drive 100 kilometres with a small, medium or large passenger car. The prices are an average for the whole country in the last quarter, rounded to the nearest krone. The estimate is based on the 3 best-selling cars within each segment and energy type.

What about parking costs? Visit the municipality webpages for the city you are staying in. Example for Oslo:
- City center: 90 NOK/hour for fossil cars, 45 NOK/hr for EVs
- Residential areas: 20-35 NOK/hour
- Shopping centers: free or ~30 NOK/hr

Moving with public transport
